Complete Apartment Renovation in the Heart of Eaux-Vives, Geneva
Located in the heart of Geneva’s vibrant Eaux-Vives district, this apartment underwent a complete renovation designed to unlock the full potential of its spaces while adapting them to contemporary living.
The project began with a full strip-out of the existing interior, allowing for a complete rethinking of the layout. The key intervention was the opening of the kitchen onto the living area, creating a bright, fluid, and welcoming living space. This new configuration encourages interaction while enhancing the sense of openness and continuity throughout the home.
Every design decision was guided by the pursuit of balance between functionality, simplicity, and spatial quality. Natural oak serves as a unifying thread, connecting the different rooms and contributing to a harmonious reading of the interior. The result is a contemporary, light-filled, and serene home, defined by a restrained aesthetic thatis designed to remain relevant and appealing for years to come.
The project also benefited from efficient management of the administrative process,with planning approval obtained in just 21 days, enabling the swift realization of this comprehensive transformation.
The interior design is built around a restrained palette of materials and colours,carefully selected for their timeless appeal. Clean lines, thoughtfully crafted details,and warm natural finishes come together to create an atmosphere that is both minimalist and inviting. Particular attention was given to the window reveals and frames, which were painted white to highlight the oak elements integrated throughout the apartment. This dialogue between light surfaces and natural wood introduces warmth, elegance, and cohesion, reinforcing the project's refined and enduring character.
